Totally forgot to write about my trip to Florida. I was welcomed with such a warm welcome from my cousin, aunt, uncle and my godmother and her family. I saw my godmother when I was a baby, but this was the first time actually seeing her where I actually was able to create a clear memory & remember her. She is the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met. She welcomed me with a balloon and a gift and a huge hug. I felt like a queen! We then went out for lunch, I was starving! This whole time she just couldn’t stop talking to me and asking me questions about how I’ve been. Before our encounter, we kept touch through social media, but nothing compared to enjoying her presence! For the rest of my stay in Florida, I mainly spent it with my cousin Zahira. God knows how much I missed her so being able to spend all that quality time with her was simply amazing. I was able to create a bunch of memories with her from waking up in the morning and going to sleep at night with her to acting a fool with her and traveling to Miami!!! The whole atmosphere down there is so different from Boston. Everything is so fast paced up here and down in Florida everyone is so calm like they have no worry in the world! I was able to go to Islands of Adventure in Universal Studios which was a blast!!! The Hulk & Harry Potter rides were my absolute favorite. I also went jet skiing with my cousin and uncle. The best part of that was seeing dolphins swimming right next to me in the water; words cannot even begin to describe how amazing that was.
Although I was having the time of my life in Florida, the days felt long and short at the same time. Short in the sense of constantly doing something and always on the go, but long because I missed my family, best friends and my boyfriend so much. Get this…I was gone for a whole week on vacation, I’m back home and Jake goes on a camping trip for a whole week next week. Days seem so long without him.
All in all, my trip was a success! I loved and enjoyed every bit of it. I hope to travel more and take lots of pictures, since that’s one of my favorite things to do. There is something so special in a photograph to me.. . There is life in a picture. It captures a moment in your life that you won’t ever be able to repeat or take back.
Well, until next time.
Xo, Dee
